What is Calibration?
VIDEO: Using professional,precision test equipment by Sencore, we can generate precise test
and calibration signals into your display for every different signal scan format that you would
normally be viewing. We then calibrate your displays user controls ( black level, white level,
saturation, hue,sharpness) and service controls ( white balance, color decoder ) to be as close
as possible to distinct industry standards. This will display a sharper focused, full resolution
image, show full detail in the darkest and lightest parts of the scenes, maintain accurate color
balance at all picture light levels and produce a full range of accurate colors including flesh
tones, grass, sky, and sports jerseys. Calibration minimizes picture artifacts (distortions), and
can extend the life of your display over one with factory default settings. It also eases eye
fatigue caused by an overly bright and mis-adjusted picture.
AUDIO: Using professional, precision test equipment by Sencore, we can analyze and remedy
installation and equipment problems such as reversed polarity, driver defects, and room
reflections. Speaker levels and time delay can be set to optimize performance. Subwoofer
levels are set to match the main speakers, including crossover frequencies, polarity and phase.
The same sophisticated test equipment can be used to identify problems like rattles or hums
that occur at specific frequencies, or standing waves that affect how your bass sounds. We can
use the information gathered from test equipment to recommend additional acoustical
treatment to optimize system sound, from moving furniture or seating placement to acoustical
treatment paneling for theaters,as well as treating for ambient sound levels that affect clarity,
and the ability to hear subtle details at low volume and intelligible dialogue. The goal is to hear
the movie the way that the director wanted it to be heard, the "theater" experience.
